Paper, Wire, and Materials

• Disc florets:
  • white, pre-made stamens
  • 3”x1.5” bright yellow 90 gram paper (makes 3 mature centers when stretched)
  • 1.5” x 1” buff yellow, 90 gram (makes 1-2 post-maturity centers when stretched)
• Ray florets:
  • 3”x 2”, Purple 180 gram paper (not stretched,1 per bloom)
• Sepals, leaves, stems
  • 3”x .75”, Green 90 gram paper (Need two strips per bloom)
  • 2”x .75”, Green 180 gram paper (for coarse stem leaves)
• Wire:
  • 6” 26 gauge wire per bloom
  • 12” 18 gauge wire for main stem

The most cost-efficient way to buy paper for this project is to purchase a paper pack.

• Sharp point scissors
• Tacky glue

Note

The ray florets lighten as they age. You can find paper packs in a range of colors from Lia Griffith or Petals and Pearls. Alternately, you can select one darker color and lighten it by brushing it with a Pan Pastel “Titanium White”.
