A couple of years ago Kit wrote what she thought was an innocent essay for a garden journal and got slammed as a result. She stated that instead of concentrating solely on native plants, perhaps we should turn the conversation towards desirable plants versus undesirable plants, pointing out that some native plants had some unwanted characteristics.
